Priti Kaur is the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Punjabi singing competion. She is a versatile Indian vocalist who performs Bollywood, Ghazals, raga based Gurbani Kirtan, Bhajans and Sufiana qalaams.
She has recently performed with prestigeous City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Appearing on and winning one of the most popular singing competitions, is amongst many appearances on popular television shows. This includes ETV Urdu (Ghazal Sara), Sony TV, NDTV and Sahara TV, she's an approved All India Radio Ghazal artist.
Graduating from the prestigious Khairagarh University achieving a degree with distinction in Hindustani classical vocal music, Priti is following the Patiala gharana style of Hindustani classical music.
Her journey in singing started at the Mumbai Doordarshan as a child artist, recording several jingles and religious songs, winning numerous Zonal, State and National level singing competitions during her academic years. Priti has also completed a Masters in Environmental Science with distinction.
With the ability to sing a variety of genres with ease including Bollywood, Soulful, Pop music, Sufi, Ghazals, Semi Classical amongst others. Priti also has the skill to effortlessly adapt to the style and feel of songs from any genre. Priti loves to sing in a variety of Indian languages including Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujrati and Marathi.
Winner of several awards, including the "Jagjit Singh Kala Manch" award, Priti is also a winner of the Lata Mangeshkar competition. During her short stay in Mumbai, Priti recorded her first playback in the Punjabi film "Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris" under the music direction of Shri Jaidev Kumar. Priti also teaches both classical and light music.
